Thousands of Romanian to Learn Turkish with 'My Choice is Turkish Project'

Yunus Emre Institute, which increases its work in Romania day by day, is one of the countries where our partners and cultural partners are located, this time it has rolled up its sleeves for the “My Choice is Turkish Project”. The new goal of the institute, in addition to Turkish courses at the cultural center, is to introduce Turkish to students in Romanian  students in Romanian public schools to through the “My Choice is Turkish Project”.

My Choice is Turkish Project, which has been successfully implemented in 10 different countries, continues to be implemented successfully with the positive feedback it has received since 2011.

Ongoing Projects Enable Countries to Get to Know Each Other's Language and Culture

With My Choice is Turkish Project, sincerity between two countries and two cultures is aimed to be increased through the activities  held during Turkish language teaching. In the continuation of the project, the Sister School Project, which is a sub-section of the My Choice is Turkish Project, will be implemented. Students, teachers and school administrators of "Sister" schools in Romania and Türkiye will be able to visit the school and get to know each other's language and culture.

Protocol Signed with Six Schools

My Choice Turkish Project, which has been met with great interest by Romania's well-established schools, is expanding its implementation area in Bucharest. Speaking at the My Choice Turkish Project protocols ceremony signed with Dante Alighieri High School, Titu Maiorescu High School, Sfantul Andrei, Secondary School No. 103, Uruguay Secondary School and Adrian Paunescu Secondary School, Yunus Emre Institute Romania Director Mustafa Yıldız used the following expressions: "There is so much interest and interest in Turkey within the scope of the My Choice Turkish Project." We will also teach our language to our interested Romanian friends. In Romania, Turkish continues to be learned as the mother tongue among our compatriots. As Yunus Emre Institute, we continue our work to make Turkish an elective language course that can be chosen by everyone in public schools with the My Choice Turkish Project, which will cover all of Romania "With this project that will start, everyone who wants to will learn Turkish in their own school. In some schools, there will also be a compulsory language course. Thus, for the first time, Turkish will be an elective course in the European Union," he said.

We are sharing this joy and happiness with our students and you." Adrian Paunescu Secondary School Principal Virginia Alexe said.

My Choice English Project to Be Implemented in Other Schools Too

In the coming period, the project will be expanded to 600 students in Bucharest and then to thousands of students throughout Romania.
