Traditional Turkish Art Introduced to Chadian Diplomats

Chadian diplomats, who were hosted in Türkiye within the scope of the training program organized for foreign diplomats by the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, visited Yunus Emre Institute.

During the visit, which was held in the historical building of the Institute in Ulus, information was given about the projects and activities carried out by Yunus Emre Institute worldwide, especially in the African continent, and the art of marbling, one of the traditional Turkish arts, was introduced. During the visit, possible collaborations in cultural fields were also discussed.

After the practical introduction of the art of marbling under the guidance of Marbling Artist Duygu Orak İnce, Chadian diplomats had the opportunity to practice the art of marbling. Chadian diplomats in the delegation stated that the art of marbling is very interesting.

In his statement, Chadian Diplomat Djakna Moksia used the following expressions:  “Turkish Republic, who invited us to Ankara and hosted us. We would like to express our gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. As you know, language is a tool that brings people from different geographies and cultures together. Currently, Turkish Maarif Foundation and TIKA are carrying out admirable work in the fields of education and health in our country. Chadian youth show great interest in Turkish. We invite Yunus Emre Institute to Chad to open a representative office.” 

The program ended after gifts were presented to Chadian diplomats.

Yunus Emre Institute continues to receive requests to open representative offices from important names in the field of international relations from different geographies of the world, with the various events it organizes for foreign diplomats in Türkiye and heads of missions abroad.
