The Foreign Student Examination (FSE) is an exam taken by foreign students wishing to attend higher education institutions in Turkey. The results of the FSE are used and considered when applying to these institutions. Until 2010, this exam was performed by the Student Selection and Placement Center (Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi, or ÖSYM). However, based on an administrative decision made in 2010, the FSEs are now being organized within Turkish Universities.
The Yunus Emre Institute Exam Center also contributes to the coordination of FSEs organized by educational institutions abroad, and to providing suitable conditions and means for the conduct of these exams
