Yunus Emre Institute has promoted Turkish culture with games and plays at the International Children's Day, held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

Yunus Emre Institute's Budapest Branch attended the event held between May 25 and 26 with the theme "The child and game in Turkish culture." The Turkish strategy game, Mangala, a mancala game, was promoted and workshops were organized where children's games like skipping rope, hopscotch, and tug of war were played. During the event where the images from Turkish culture were colored by children, the principle of "learning while playing and living the life while having fun" in Turkish children's games was stressed.

The International Children's Day, attended by many countries in addition to European countries, is annually held by Budapest Metropolitan Municipality at Városliget, Budapest's City Park.
