Turkish Competition in Mostar

Yunus Emre Institute organized a Turkish competition in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The competition was organized by Yunus Emre Institute and Herzegovina Neretva Canton Pedagogical Institute. 

60 students learning Turkish as an elective course from 20 elementary schools and 11 high schools in the Herzegovina region participated in the competition. 

While the winners of the elementary school level won EUR 125, the runners-ups EUR 75 and the third placers EUR 50 each, the winners of the high school level were awarded a tour of Turkey.

Mostar Yunus Emre Institute Director Yunus Dilber said that 3 high school students will be sent to Turkey with the support of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and Turkish Red Crescent. 

Dilber stated that there are a total of 1,300 students learning Turkish in the Neretva Canton of Herzegovina, that these students first participated in the Turkish competition in their schools and that the 60 most successful students were entitled to participate in the competition held here today.
