An Exhibition Opened in Tbilisi on the Occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye

The exhibition themed "Republic" was opened by Tbilisi Yunus Emre Institute on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Tbilisi, Ali Kaan Orbay, Tbilisi Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Can Güray, representatives of Turkish institutions in Georgia and guests attended the opening of the exhibition hosted by Mirza Fatali Akhundov Museum in Tbilisi.

20 paintings by artist Şenay Sadikov with the theme of "the Republic" were exhibited at the Republic Exhibition.

Stating that this exhibition, specially prepared for the anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiyte, is very meaningful to him, "As an Azerbaijani Turk born and raised in Georgia, I have been interested in Turkish history, art and literature since my childhood. Thanks to this interest, I discovered the Republic and Ataturk,” Artist Şenay Sadikov said.

Turkish Ambassador in Tbilisi Ali Kaan Orbay expressed his pleasure at participating in an exhibition organized for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.

Emphasizing that artist Sadikov explained the founding process of the Republic to the guests through art, "This year, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of our Republic with enthusiasm together with our friends in different parts of the world," Ambassador Orbay said.

Ambassador Orbay said that the Turkish people have a state tradition of more than two thousand years and that they are happy to celebrate this meaningful day in Georgia.

After the speeches, the event ended with the guests visiting the exhibition.
