“From the Rhine River to the Bosphorus via the Aegean Sea” Exhibition in Cologne

The painting exhibition titled "From the Rhine River to the Bosphorus via the Aegean Sea" opened in cooperation with Cologne Yunus Emre Institute, Cologne-Istanbul Sister City Association and Cologne-Thessaloniki Association.

The works of Artist Helena Katsiavara and Artist Ethem Tuğsat were exhibited in the exhibition hosted by Yunus Emre Institute in Cologne, Germany.

In the exhibition, Katsiavara's abstract works with the theme of "Cultural Identity in the Field of Art" and Tuğsat's oil and acrylic paintings with the theme of "Journey to Nature, History and Architecture", mostly showing sections from Cologne and Istanbul, were presented to art lovers.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Cologne Mayor Ralf Heinen congratulated the Institute for its successful work, stating that Cologne Yunus Emre Institute is a part of the city with its cultural interaction activities and collaborations with institutions and organizations.

Walter Kluth, President of Cologne-Istanbul Sister Association, said that they have carried out important activities with Cologne Yunus Emre Institute for 8 years.

Cologne Yunus Emre Institute Representative Yılmaz Bulut stated that they wanted to emphasize the concept of peace through the exhibition opened.

In the program, songs in different languages were sung by Antonius Papamichail and Helena Katsiavara.

The painting exhibition titled "From the Rhine River to the Bosphorus via the Aegean Sea" will be open to visitors for two weeks.
