The photography exhibition titled "Treasures of Türkiye" was opened in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Doha, Doha Yunus Emre Institute and Katara Cultural Village.

In the exhibition hosted by Katara Culture Village, 40 photographs revealing the historical, architectural and cultural riches of Türkiye from the frame of Photographer İlker Cihat Çatak were exhibited.

Ambassador of Republic of Turkiyeto Doha Dr. M. Mustafa Göksu, Deputy General Manager of Katara Cultural Village Saif Al-Dosari, foreign mission chiefs, guests and members of the press attended.

In his opening speech, Doha Yunus Emre Institute Representative Tansel Akto used the following expression: "As Yunus Emre Institute, we continue to organize activities to promote Türkiye and Türkiye's cultural qualities in Doha, within the framework of our vision of increasing the number of people who establish ties with Türkiye and are friendly to Türkiye."

“Everyone here will have the opportunity to get to know Türkiye more closely with these works, which are placed in a frame by stopping time all over Turkey and each containing a different story,” Akto said.

Turkish Ambassador in Doha Dr. M. Mustafa Göksu made the following evaluations: “This year, we are celebrating together the 100th anniversary of our Republic and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Qatar. On this occasion, we will continue to organize various events on cultural grounds together with Yunus Emre Institute.”

“Türkiye is a country with a rich cultural heritage, so it is not possible to fit Türkiye's richness into 40 photographs. In this exhibition, our visitors will witness a small part of Türkiye's riches,” Ambassador Mustafa Göksu said.

“I am very happy to present you the cultural richness of Türkiye from my own perspective at the Katara Culture Village in Doha. It was not easy to try to fit the historical, architectural and cultural riches of our country into 40 photographs. I would like to thank Yunus Emre Institute and our Turkish Embassy in Doha for their contributions to the realization of the exhibition,” Photographer İlker Cihat Çatak said.

After the speeches, the program ended with the guests visiting the exhibition and taking photos.
