The Institute organized a "leaf rolls with olive oil workshop" after conducting workshops on Turkish coffee and kısır, two of the most prominent flavors of Turkish cuisine.

GREAT INTEREST IN TURKISH CUISINE IN ARGENTINA

YEI Buenos Aires Coordinator Aydın Bayat stated that there is a great interest in Turkish cuisine in Argentina and said: "For a long time, there has been a great demand for organizing Turkish cuisine workshops. As of December, we started organizing Turkish cuisine workshops and offered the people of Argentina the opportunity to get to know Turkish cuisine more closely."

THE PEOPLE OF ARGENTINA WILL BE BROUGHT TOGETHER AROUND DIFFERENT FLAVORS OF TURKISH CUISINE

Stating that the people of Argentina showed higher than expected interest in Turkish cuisine, Bayat said: "Thanks to these workshops, we saw the great interest of Argentinians in Turkish cuisine. There is great interest in Turkish dishes such as baklava, mantı, leaf rolls and pita bread. In the coming period, we will continue bringing the people of Argentina together around Turkish cuisine by holding different gastronomy workshops like this one.”

Belen, one of the workshop participants, expressed her satisfaction with the organization of the Turkish cuisine workshop and said: "I have never made rolls like this before. In Tucuman and Santiago del Estero in northern Argentina, my family makes this with meat using vine and chard leaves."

Another participant of the workshop, Franco, said that it was his first time making leaf rolls, that he had never tasted anything similar in Argentinian cuisine and that his Italian grandmother used to make similar dishes.

Candela, another participant who enjoyed making leaf rolls, said, "I hope to make better rolls with practice. I enjoyed Turkish dished every time I tasted any and I wanted to make some myself. This was a great experience for me.”

The Argentinians prepared their leaf rolls with great care and then enjoyed them with tea.
