“Turkish Inspirations Marbling Art” Event in Egypt

An event called "Turkish Inspirations Marbling Art" was organized by Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.

At the event hosted by Al-Manial Palace in Cairo, the works of Egyptian marbling artist Hanan Rifai were exhibited.

Many representatives from Turkish and local institutions, diplomats and art lovers attended the event.

Cairo Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Emin Boyraz, who made the opening speech of the event, pointed out that Menyel Palace carries influences from Turkish and Egyptian culture.

Noting that Yunus Emre Institute promotes Turkish culture all over the world with the motto "Let's get acquainted", "We are very happy to carry out this activity where Turkish and Egyptian cultures are brought together," Coordinator Boyraz said.

Marbling artist Rifai, who stated that he was introduced to the art of marbling through the art courses of the Institute while learning Turkish at Cairo Yunus Emre Institute, said that he received marbling art training in Türkiye and participated in many events related to this art in Türkiye.

A marbling workshop was also organized by Ebru Artist Hanan Rifai at the event.

The exhibition, which includes Rifai's marbling paintings inspired by Egyptian culture, will be open to visitors until November 11th, 2023.
