The Turkish Language Day and The European Day of Languages Celebrated in Romania

A series of events were organized by Bucharest and Constanta Yunus Emre Institutes on the occasion of 26 September Turkish Language Day and European Day of Languages.

 

Yunus Emre Institute, which continues its activities to spread Turkish to all corners of the world, organized a series of activities to celebrate Turkish Language Day and European Day of Languages within the scope of its cooperation with the European Union National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC) in Bucharest.

 

In the events that attracted great interest from the participants, presentations about Turkish and Turkish culture, sample Turkish courses, Turkish contests, quiz show about Türkiye were made and various games were played.

 

During the activities, as well as various gifts belonging to Turkish and Turkish culture were given, some raffles were held. With the raffle, lucky participants were entitled to attend Yunus Emre Institute’s Turkish courses free of charge. In the program, which included colorful and entertaining activities, the rich flavors of Turkish cuisine, including Turkish coffee, Turkish tea and various desserts, were served.

 

Participants of the event stated that they admire Turkish culture and prefer Türkiye for their holidays, and that they follow Turkish TV series with interest.

 

At Constanta Yunus Emre Institute, presentations were made about Turkish and Turkish culture, a workshop on making a flower necklace made from silk cocoon, a marbling workshop, calligraphy workshop, colored sand painting workshop and puzzle workshop were organized. Türkiye themed games and competitions were held. Various gifts related to Turkish culture were given during the activities. Participants had the opportunity to experience the flavors of Turkish cuisine, as well as participating in many activities that showcased the richness of Turkish culture.

 

Romania Coordinator of Yunus Emre Institute, Mustafa Yıldız, in his speech about the event, underlined that Turkish is the language of love and peace and expressed his happiness in introducing Turkish and Turkish culture to the participants today. He ended his speech by getting a promise out of participants to meet at many future similar activities.
