Yunus Emre Institute Holds Certificate Ceremony for 45 Moroccan Trainees Learning Turkish

Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) in Morocco gave certificates to 45 Moroccan students learning Turkish at a ceremony held in the capital Rabat on February 22nd, 2024.

In his statement, Rabat YEI Coordinator Reha Ermumcu stated that they organized a Turkish teaching program for 45 Moroccan students.

Ermumcu said that Türkiye’s Ambassador to Rabat, Mustafa İlker Kılıç, and Abdulhamid Aşşak, the director of Darülhadis al-Hasaniyye within the body of Karaviyyin University, the oldest active university in the world, attended the certificate ceremony and the certificates were distributed to the students at the ceremony to the program. Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Rabat Mustafa İlker Kılıç also attended.

Ermumcu stated that the Institute provides students with a Turkish language certificate the opportunity to continue their education in Türkiye, within the scope of cultural and educational exchange between the two countries, and added that the Turkish learning agreement between Yunus Emre Institute and Darülhadis el-Hasaniyye dates back to 2020 and provides other education, culture and science services. He stated that it also includes collaborations in the fields.

Within the scope of the program, a Turkish library was opened within the institution for the students of Karaviyyin University to benefit from.
