A friendship concert has been organized in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Turkey and Montenegro.

During the concert by Montenegro Symphony Orchestra, conducted by conductor Ömer Yöndem from Antalya State Opera and Ballet, tenor Ömer Türkmenoğlu sang Turkish and Montenegrin songs in commemoration of the 10th anniversary.

Organized jointly by Yunus Emre Institute's Podgorica Branch and Montenegro Music Center with support from Montenegrin Ministry of Culture, Turkish Embassy in Podgorica and Podgorica Office of Turkish Airlines on October 28, 2019, the Friendship Concert was attended by Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro Ivan Brajović, Montenegrin Minister of Culture Aleksandar Bogdanović, Podgorica Mayor Ivan Vuković, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Podgorica Songül Ozan, deputies from the Parliament of Montenegro, ministerial representatives, ambassadors, officials from Turkish institutions, press members and guests.
