Yıldız maintained that Turkey and Albania are two states with common historical and cultural traditions and the Ottoman Empire's rule, based on justice and compassion, had preserved peace and fraternity in these lands. "Here, we have our Albanian sisters and brothers who are learning Turkish at Yunus Emre Institute. We have Albanian sisters and brothers who attend universities in Turkey. In Turkey, we have people who have come to make investments. I believe that as long as we maintain our unity and solidarity, the winners will be Turkey, Albania, and our fraternity, unity and solidarity," he said.

Tirana Mayor's Adviser Hado expressed his satisfaction for having Turkey as a strong friend that loves them and is loved by them. "Today, we are beginning to establish new relations with all Turkish institutions like Yunus Emre Institute and Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TİKA). We welcome the TİKA's activities for the restoration of cultural monuments and Yunus Emre Institute's works in Tirana and other cities," he said.

Turkey's Ambassador to Tirana Yörük drew attention to the fact that Turkey is a country with a deep-rooted civilization. "In our roots, there is part of Asia, part of Caucasus, part of Middle East, part of Africa, part of the Balkans and part of Europe. In fact, there are thousands of cultures, pasts, traditions and customs that have been melted in the pot of Turkey's civilization," he said.

The event, also attended by various municipalities from Turkey, will showcase the Turkish culture, arts, music and gastronomy and be open until September 27.
