Yunus Emre Enstitüsü hosted a group of journalists from Chinese media in Turkey between 17-24 June 2017 as part of the cultural diplomacy activities carried out.

In addition to conventional media elements in China, there is also widely accessed new media world based on the technology (website, news site, search engine, blog, wiki, social media etc.) and all these Chinese communication professionals visited Turkey for the first time. On the first day of the program, Chinese representatives who had the chance to closely observe the daily life of Turkish people around Taksim Square, Istiklal Avenues and Galata Tower, also discovered the ancient Turkish cultural heritage as Topkapı Palace, Sultanahmet Mosque, Haghia Sophia Museum, Basilica Cistern as part of historical peninsula tour organized afterwards.

Guests who later got the opportunity to see the enormous tourism potential Dalaman-Fethiye-Köyceğiz and especially Antalya have for Turkey, also experienced the "Blue Cruise" on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts and "Paraglided" in Fethiye.

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü has a cooperation agreement with Shanghai International Studies University in China, and in this context, the academician appointed to university's Turcology Department in Oriental Languages and Literatures Faculty by the Enstitü from Turkey, teaches Turkish under the university's roof as well as carrying out promotional activities.

Enstitü continues to make efforts towards opening a branch in Beijing in the near future.
