Tokyo Yunus Emre Enstitüsü organized a conference titled ‘On Ertuğrul’s Trail’ given by Prof. Dr. Ömer Ertur who wrote a novel on the diplomatic journey of Ertuğrul Frigate.

Ertur  gave a conference on six years long research and writing process of his novel by examining Turkish and Japanese archives on Ertuğrul Frigate with an important place in the friendship between Turkey and Japan.

Event was attended by the team who translated the book into Japanese and book’s designer. Conference continued with a question and answer session, and writer signed readers’ books at the end of the event.

The book published in English and Japanese will soon be published in Turkish with the title ‘Sultan’s.
