The filigree art was introduced in the cities of Belgrade and Novi Sad of Serbia on November 21, 2022 in cooperation with Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) and Mardin Artuklu University (MAU).

Turkey's Ambassador to Belgrade Hami Aksoy, embassy staff, academics and citizens attended the promotional program held in Belgrade and Novi Sad.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nesrin Yeşilmen, Head of the MAU Midyat Faculty of Art and Design Department of Goldsmithry and Jewelry Design and Lecturers Fatih Yeşilmen and Sabahattin Akgül from Midyat Vocational School Jewelry Design and Goldsmithry Program exhibited their works at the program.

Delivering the opening speech of the program, Turkish Ambassador to Belgrade Hami Aksoy stated. "Our Yunus Emre Institute does not only provide Turkish courses to our Serbian friends. It also introduces Turkish culture and art to the world."

THE GATEWAY THAT OPENS TURKISH CULTURE TO THE WORLD

Aksoy stated that the filigree art is one of the most important handicrafts of Mardin, a city in southeast Turkey full of history, art and culture.

Yeşilmen, the curator of the exhibition, remarked that Yunus Emre Institute is the door that opens Turkish culture to the world.

In addition to the exhibitions, the cultural and artistic event also included presentations on traditional filigree art and workshops involving trainees. Artists' works and workshops attracted great interest during the two-day event.

Sırbistan'ın Belgrad ve Novi Sad şehirlerinde, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü (YEE) ve Mardin Artuklu Üniversitesi (MAÜ) iş birliğinde21 Kasım 2022 tarihinde telkari sanatının tanıtımı yapıldı.

Belgrad ve Novi Sad'da düzenlenen tanıtım programına, Türkiye'nin Belgrad Büyükelçisi Hami Aksoy, büyükelçilik çalışanları, akademisyenler ve vatandaşlar katıldı.

Programda, MAÜ Midyat Sanat ve Tasarım Fakültesi Kuyumculuk ve Mücevher Tasarım Bölümü Başkanı Doç. Dr. Nesrin Yeşilmen ve Midyat Meslek Yüksekokulu Takı Tasarımı ve Kuyumculuk Programı Öğretim Görevlileri Fatih Yeşilmen ve Sabahattin Akgül eserlerini sergiledi.

Programın açılış konuşmasını yapan Türkiye'nin Belgrad Büyükelçisi Aksoy, "Yunus Emre Enstitümüz, Sırp dostlarımıza Türkçe kursları vermekle kalmıyor. Türk kültürünü ve sanatını da dünyaya tanıtıyor." diye konuştu.

TÜRK KÜLTÜRÜNÜ DÜNYAYA AÇAN KAPI

Aksoy, telkari sanatının Türkiye'nin güneydoğusunda yer alan tarih, sanat ve kültür kenti Mardin'in en önemli el sanatlarından olduğunu ifade etti.

Sergi küratörü Yeşilmen ise Yunus Emre Enstitüsünün, Türk kültürünü dünyaya açan kapı olduğunu söyledi.

Gerçekleştirilen kültür sanat etkinliğinde sergilerin yanı sıra geleneksel telkari sanatı ile ilgili sunum ve öğrencilerin de dahil olduğu atölye çalışmaları da yer aldı. İki gün süren etkinlikte sanatçıların eserleri ve atölye çalışmaları yoğun ilgi gördü.
