Turkey has been the guest of honor to the International Handicrafts Fair, held on March 6 in Senegal.

The opening of the fair at Diamniadio International Fair Center was performed by President Macky Sall. In his keynote speech, Sall indicated that the bilateral ties between the two countries were perfect and they were glad to see Turkey as the guest of honor at the fair. Visiting Turkey's booth, Sall examined the marbling (ebru) work closely.

Yunus Emre Institute, the Turkish Maarif Foundation, and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency had booths at the fair where Turkey showcased marbling, gilding, calligraphy, tradition fabric craft, wire cutting, wire wrapping, and embroidery works at its booth.

Drawing a huge crowd, the fair had been open to visitors until March 10.
