Kemankeş Turkish Archery Exhibition to be held in Beijing

The Archers' Foundation has teamed up with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ankara to open the Kemankeş (Archer) Turkish Archery Exhibition in Beijing.

The photographs featuring the historical development of the Turkish archery will be on display at the Olympic Park in Beijing for a period of 10 days starting on Friday, October 26.

The official opening of the exhibition will be performed by Founding Member of the Board of Trustees of the Archers' Foundation Bilal Erdoğan, Head of the Archers' Foundation and the Chief Adviser to President Haydar Ali Yıldız, Turkey's Ambassador to Beijing Abdulkadir Emin Önen, World Archery President Prof. Dr. Uğur Erdener, People's Republic of China Archery Federation President Liang Chun and Yunus Emre Institute President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş on October 29.

In the Beijing presentation of the first Turkish Archery Exhibition related to the Ottoman and Seljuk eras, the production of arrows, bows, wrist shields, zighirs, and tirkeş (quivers), and historical samples will be displayed on the panels with high image quality ahead of the planned original exhibition.

Chinese and Turkish archers will compete in a friendly match as part of the program to be held in Beijing following the programs in Okmeydanı, Malazgirt, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Belgrade.
