“Love's Voice in Caspian” Poetry Night

“Love's Voice in Caspian” poetry night was held on 12 February 2016 by collaboration of Baku Yunus Emre Enstitüsü and Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture.

Event held in Nizami Kino Center was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Baku İsmail Alper Coşkun, Azerbaijan National Congressmen Ganire Pashayeva and  Ferec Quliyeva, representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations, and art-lovers from Baku.

Savalan music band took the stage in the night where theater actors performed poems by Nesimi, Fuzuli, Yunus Emre, Nazım Hikmet, Âşık Veysel, Atilla İlhan, Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, Cemal Safi, Abdürrahim Karakoç, Ahmet Cevat, Hüseyin Nihal Atsız, Bahattin Karakoç, Mikayıl Müşfik and Bahtiyar Vahapzade.

Ambassador Coşkun who made a speech after the program underlined that this type of events should become traditional, and wished for our region which is going through a difficult time, to receive the love message given in the night.

Baku Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Director İbrahim Yıldırım expressed that they are excited and proud to have organized an event that proves the “One nation, two states” motto used for Azerbaijan and Turkey.
