Music Nights continue in Vienna Yunus Emre Enstitüsü

Fifth “Music Nights” took place on 30 January, Saturday in Vienna Yunus Emre Enstitüsü.

In the event prepared by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Culture-Arts Coordinator Halil Ibrahim Doğan and performed by Muhammed Fatih Toygan, four songs with lyrics and three instrumental pieces were performed just like every month. An orchestra of twelve featuring instruments as reed flute, oud, zither, double drum, tambour and frame drum, performed Suzinak and Acem Kürdi songs. Concert began with Medhalçe by Cinuçen Tanrıkorur, and continued with Latif Aga's Benim Yârem Gibi Yârem Bulunmaz, Gavsi Baykara’s Dokunma Kalbime Zira Çok İncedir Kırılır, Sadi Hoşses’ Aşkın ile Gündüz Gece Giryanım, and lastly Nasibin Mehmet Yürü’s Kır Atıma Bineyim.

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Director Mevlüt Bulut made the following statement to Anadolu Agency: “As language is the first step in the social life of a society, music is a major part of our national culture as an important branch of the emotional and intellectual language of our society. We are proud to have brought an important step of our culture to all segments living in Austria. In order to strengthen the friendship between the people, we will continue to organize Music Nights for music lovers on a monthly basis.”
