Turkey's leading cultural diplomacy organization, Yunus Emre Institute, is moving its head office from the historical building in Ulus, Ankara, to its newly opened building in Kızılay in downtown Ankara.

With 58 cultural centers that have been opened up in 48 countries since 2009, our Institute continues to grow with each passing day, and it will have now an opportunity to provide higher quality services by bringing its experts under the same roof at its head office with this move.

Our Institute, poised to  enhance Turkey's recognition, credibility and prestige in the international arena, held a ceremony for opening of its new building in Kızılay with the participation of our President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş and all personnel on Thursday, April 11.

In his keynote speech, Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş drew attention to the fact that the opening of new building coincided with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute. Noting that the Institute has filled a huge vacuum in cultural diplomacy, Ateş indicated that the new building will be conducive to new beginnings and novel ideas.

"It is people who give sense to places. It is us who will embellish this building with the meaning we will add to it. What matters is to do good deeds and our culture is suitable for it. Whatever is our intention will be translated into our appearance," he said.

The program ended with a tour of the building and posing for a souvenir photo.

We wish that our building lead to beneficial developments.
