Yunus Emre Enstitüsü (YEE) has significantly contributed to Turkey's goals in cultural diplomacy field by reaching approximately one million people within the last year with a total of a thousand activities organized in many countries of the world.

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü published statistics on activities organized in 50 centres in 40 countries and Turkey in 2016. According to statistics, Enstitü that has reached approximately one million people in 2016 by carrying out a thousand activities in many world countries, taught Turkish to 6349 students in language courses organized in the last year.

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü that hosted 540 students from different countries in Turkey in 2016 Turkish Summer School, offered language instruction to students as well as providing them with the opportunities to get better acquainted with Turkish culture. Students' journey in Turkey became complete with Turkish Festival.

Enstitü that has taken steps in the field of cultural diplomacy, was elected as term president of Global Public Diplomacy Network (GPDNet) between years 2016-2019. Enstitü will host the GPDNet General Assembly in Istanbul in September 2017, to be participated by all GPDNet member states.

Enstitü that organizes Turkish Proficiency Test (TYS) for foreigners to receive Turkish proficiency certificates, also taught 8918 students Turkish at 146 schools in Sarajevo, Mostar, Amman, Tbilisi, Tokyo, Constanta, Warsaw and Alexandria.

YEE has reached 230 thousand people in 2014, 400 thousand in 2015 and 600 thousand in 2016 through cultural and artistic activities held.

Organizing "Seminars on Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language" aimed at instructors teaching Turkish to Syrian guests, YEE has issued 141 certificates in 5 programs organized in 2016 in this context.

YEE has taught Turkish to 47 thousand 885 people in Turkish language courses offered at centres abroad and to 33 thousand 376 people in "Teaching Turkish as an Elective Foreign Language Project" since its establishment. The number of students learning Turkish as part of Turcology Project launched in 2011, exceeded 18 thousand.

Since its establishment, YEE has taught Turkish to a total of 99,261 students and has hosted academic meetings, memorial events, design events, literature events, craft and handicraft programs, festivals and celebrations, fairs, music events, courses, exhibitions, cinema events, project supports, competitions and Turkish Fairs in its centres abroad.

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü offers services in 40 countries with a total of 50 centres, in Maryland in USA, Kabul in Afghanistan, Berlin and Cologne in Germany, Tirana and Shkoder in Albania, Vienna in Austria, Baku in Azerbaijan, Brussels in Belgium, Sarajevo, Fojnica and Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sao Paolo in Brazil, Algeria in Algeria, Rabat in Morocco, Jerusalem in Palestine, Paris in France, Pretoria in South Africa, Tbilisi in Georgia, Zagreb in Croatia, Amsterdam in Holland, London in United Kingdom, Tehran in Iran, Rome in Italy, Tokyo in Japan, Podgorica in Montenegro, Doha in Qatar, Astana in Kazakhstan, Nicosia in TRNC, Pristina, Pec and Prizren in Kosovo, Beirut in Lebanon, Budapest in Hungary, Skopje in Macedonia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Cairo and Alexandria in Egypt, Comrat in Moldova, Lahore and Karachi in Pakistan, Warsaw in Poland, Bucharest and Constanta in Romania, Kazan in the Russian Federation, Belgrade in Serbia, Mogadishu in Somalia, Khartoum and Nyala in Sudan, and Amman in Jordan.
