Special commemorative stamp has been issued featuring Mehmet Akif Ersoy on the 98th anniversary of the adoption of Turkey's national anthem.

Spanish postal company Correos issued a special commemorative stamp featuring Turkey's national poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy upon initiatives by the Turkish Embassy in Madrid and Yunus Emre Institute's Madrid branch.

The portrait of the national poet was used on the stamps issued as part of the event organized at the Turkish Embassy in Madrid on the 104th anniversary of the victory at the Çanakkale war and the 98th anniversary of the adoption of Turkey's national anthem.

The special commemorative stamps featuring Mehmet Akif Ersoy were issued as limited edition and the event overlapped with the World Poetry Day.
