The "Children's Festival" events are ready for go to open the door to the world of fun for kids with traditional street games and art workshops in Zagreb.

The first leg of the festival will be held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, between April 13 and 14, 2019, offering a host of diverse activities full of fun including traditional street games and art workshops for the children of Zagreb aged between 6 and 15.

With its mission of promoting Turkish culture around the globe, the Yunus Emre Institute is organizing the Children's Festival, the first leg of which will be held in Zagreb, in order to introduce traditional games and plays, which form part of Turkey's cultural legacy, such as knuckle-bones, spinning top, egg-and-spoon race, handkerchief snatching, spud, making a spoon doll, and playing marbles.

Kids, Let's Go Out

"Kids, Let's Go Out" is the motto of the festival organized by Yunus Emre Institute in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey and Ankara University's Children Culture Implementation and Research Center (ÇOKAUM). 

The festival aims to ensure that they technology-addicted children can get away from stressful computer games and engage in traditional Turkish games and plays with which they can have fun in nature and improve their physical and mental skills-.
