Turkish Training Program for Syrian Teachers

Yunus Emre Institute supports the professional development of the teachers who work in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language.

In cooperation with the Syrian Turkmen Assembly, Yunus Emre Institute has organized the "Turkish Teaching Program for Syrian Teachers" in Ankara.

The program geared toward the Syrian teachers who work at the Turkish language courses given in the schools or training courses as part of the training activities conducted in the regions which were cleansed off terrorists with the Operation Euphrates Shield and the Operation Olive Branch in Syria commenced with the opening ceremony.  

Yunus Emre Institute President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş delivered a keynote speech, stressing the importance of maintaining education under any circumstances.

In his speech, Syrian Turkmen Assembly President Dr. Muhammed Vecih Cuma expressed his thanks for Yunus Emre Institute and those who took part in the program.

The training program includes the training of trainers for teaching Turkish as a foreign language as well as social and cultural programs, and is attended by 64 Syrian teachers and training managers. The training program aims to support the professional development of the Turkish teachers in the region and increase the efficiency of Turkish teaching. The program will end on August and the training courses to be opened will be attended by approximately 1,300 students, including children and adults.
