President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım made statements about the heinous terrorist attack in Kayseri.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım made statements about the treacherous bombing that targeted a public bus carrying soldiers in Kayseri.

President Erdoğan: "We will fight in a Spirit of National Mobilization"

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated the following about the treacherous bombing of the bus carrying privates and petty officers from Kayseri Commando Brigade Command on their way to weekend leave: “Terrorist attacks not only target soldiers and police officers but all 79 million Turkish citizens. Turkey is jointly attacked by all the terrorist organizations. We will fight resolutely against terrorist organizations together with our nation, in a spirit of national mobilization. It is not the day to fight and waste our energy on unfruitful conflicts resulting from differences.”

The written statement by President Erdoğan about the bombing in Kayseri, is as follows:

"Today in Kayseri, there was a suicide bombing that targeted the public bus carrying soldiers who were on leave. Today we gave 13 martyrs and 55 were injured. As we were grieving for the bombing that took place last Saturday night in Istanbul, the Kayseri bombing added to our grief. Terrorist attacks not only target soldiers and police officers but all 79 million Turkish citizens. Turkey is jointly attacked by all terrorist organizations. Especially the separatist terrorist organization is using all means. The form and objectives of attacks clearly reveal that the true aim of separatist terrorist organization: to obstruct Turkey's path, to trip Turkey so that Turkey's energy and power will be focused on other issues.

“We know that these attacks we are exposed to are not independent of events in our region, specifically the developments in Syria and Iraq, and even economic fluctuations. We will fight resolutely against terrorist organizations together with our nation, in a spirit of national mobilization. It is not the day to fight and waste our energy on unfruitful conflicts resulting from differences. It is the day to become unified following “One nation, one flag, one country, one state” principles, being in unity, being brothers and sisters, and becoming Turkey as a whole. May God have mercy on our martyrs who lost their lives in Kayseri attack, and I offer my condolences to their relatives. May the wounded get well soon. May God be our helper. "

PRIME MINISTER YILDIRIM: KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE IS LIKE KILLING HUMANITY

Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım made a statement about the terrorist attack in Kayseri. Prime Minister Yıldırım said, "No matter its name, its form, its face; terrorism is cowardice and it is not humane. Killing innocent people is like killing humanity. But the terrorist organization should know that this nation fairly possesses the spirit of Çanakkale and spirit of Independence. And these events will not weaken our nation's fight against terrorism; on the contrary, we will become stronger."

Yıldırım stated that a suicide bombing took place in morning hours, targeting the public bus that carried soldiers from Kayseri Zincidere Commando Brigade on their way to weekend leave, and said, "We have soldiers who are martyred in this heinous terrorist act, there are wounded soldiers who currently undergo treatment.”

Answering questions of journalists, Prime Minister Yıldırım responded to the question "Are you considering changing your schedule?" as follows: "Why should we? We have no intention of giving terrorists this satisfaction. The purpose of terrorism is in fact hurting our moral values, frustrating our nation but it is understood that they did not learn their lesson on July 15^th."

Yıldırım emphasized that no matter its name, form or face, terrorism is cowardice and it is a crime against humanity, and continued as follows: "Killing innocent people is like killing the humanity. But the terrorist organization should know that this nation fairly possesses the spirit of Çanakkale and spirit of Independence. And these events will not weaken our nation's fight against terrorism; on the contrary, we will become stronger. They should be aware of this. This is why we will follow our schedule. We will once more deliver the due message all together, from Kahramanmaraş, the home town of Sütçü Imam's grandchildren."

As Turkish President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Mr. Binali Yıldırım expressed, we want the terrorist organizations, each functioning as a tool, and those behind them to know that we will protect our country jointly attacked by terrorist organizations in spirit of national mobilization, and we will pay intense efforts for our country to achieve its goals on path to peace and prosperity. We were still grieving after the terrorist attack that took place in İstanbul Beşiktaş today last week, where 44 people were martyred, most being police officers, and we condemn the heinous attack in Kayseri who took lives of 14 young Turkish children, staged by shady hands and their tools again on a Saturday. May God have mercy on our martyrs, and may the injured to get well soon. We wish patience to their relatives.
