Yunus Emre Enstitüsü at International Tea Festival

Tokyo Yunus Emre Enstitüsü participated in the International Tea Festival organised in Tokyo and introduced Turkish tea.

In the festival attended by representatives of Japanese government and parliament as well as ambassadors of countries participated in the event, tea enthusiasts and delegations from more than 20 tea producing countries, the events on preparation and presentation of tea in various cultures received intense interest.

Shizouka Mayor Haita Kawakatsu hosted the festival where Rize tea accompanied by bagel was treated to guests in Yunus Emre Enstitüsü stand by the staff in traditional attire. In Enstitü stand, Mayor Kawakatsu's Principal Clerk Go Kubota assisted the staff by serving tea.

Known as the oldest tea festival in the world and visited by an average of 500 thousand guests each year, the festival will continue throughout November.
