In her speech, ITP Assistant Coordinator Suna Tarhan noted that more than 10,000 Syrian children had been integrated into the education system so far and that the goal was to support the children socially, culturally and psychologically as well.

Underlining that the trainers' training program was developed to address the shortcomings in this regard and it was continuously improved, Tarhan indicated that the plan is to ensure that 50,000 children in the age group of 10-18 who are under temporary protection can be introduced to formal education.

UNICEF Representative Gözde Öztürk Nur pointed out that the Intensive Training Project is one of the most important programs implemented by the UNICEF in this period.

Nur stated that even the children in the most disadvantaged group can be reached thanks this program. "Our toughest task is to reach this group of children aged above 10 who have not had a chance to attend school or who have dropped out of school for some reason. With your efforts, we can reach them and strive to integrate them into society," she said.

Prof. Dr. Yavuz Kartallıoğlu emphasized that an intensive training program has been launched to support professional development in the field of Turkish teaching. Noting that every trainers' training program offers an opportunity for the Institute to get refreshed, Kartallıoğlu explained that the training programs are continuously updated by taking into consideration the problems encountered in the classroom and emerging needs and, in this regard, experience and recommendations of trainers are precious.
