Certificates were given with ceremony to those who completed the third Media Academy organized in cooperation with the Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) and TRT in Tirana, the capital of Albania.

The ceremony on June 23, 2022, was attended by Turkish institutions in the country, representatives of local institutions, and organizations, students and other guests.

Tirana Yunus Emre Institute Director Ömer Osman Demirbaş, in his speech, stated that the quality of the people attending the Media Academy has increased every year.

Demirbaş said, "As you know, the biggest power in the world today is the media. But on the other hand, the institution that we have the most trouble with is the media. So, we thought of organizing such an event in contemplation of 'How we can contribute to the nice people in this sector, well-intentioned people, those who want to become professional in this sector or to be in this sector.’

TRT representative Ubeydullah Yener also emphasized in his video message that they considered it their duty to maintain TRT's culture of being a school, with the awareness of its responsibility as public broadcasting, and to convey all this knowledge and culture to their colleagues abroad with an innovative perspective.

“WE STRENGTHEN THE BRIDGES BETWEEN OUR COUNTRIES”

Yener said, "As TRT, we constantly renew ourselves on the axis of current developments with our 58 years of experience and continue our journey of both learning and education. Thanks to such training programs, we both share our deep experiences with our colleagues abroad and strengthen the bridge between our countries."

Metin Bulut, Education Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Tirana, said, "We, as the Turkish Embassy in Tirana, Yunus Emre Institute, TIKA, and the Maarif Foundation, continue our work within a wide public diplomacy network and within a certain program."

Citing that the media and communication tools were of great importance in bringing these works to the Albanian public, Bulut said, "We know that we are two friendly, relative and brotherly countries with a common history and culture. We know that such trainings will make a crucial contribution to transform our cooperation in the field of education and culture into more rational, longer-term cooperation through the efforts of media organs and you."

Approximately 25 people, including media professionals in Albania and students from different departments, attended the Media Academy held on June 6-17.

Within the scope of the academy, training was given by TRT trainers on topics such as digital news and social media.
