TPT Turkish Proficiency Test Broadly Participated

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü held the first Turkish Proficiency Test of 2017. 765 candidates took the Turkish Proficiency Test held in 29 countries simultaneously. As 400 candidates took the TPT held last January, the number of participants increased by more than 90 percent and rose to 765 this year. A total of 765 candidates attended Turkish Proficiency Test organized by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, 82 candidates being from Turkey.

TPT held on January 14th, 2017 was held in two sessions. Candidates' reading, listening and writing skills were tested in the first session, and speaking skills were tested in the second.

Taken by candidates who want to certify their Turkish language proficiency, results of the test will be announced after two weeks. Successful candidates will receive Turkish Proficiency Certificates at B2, C1, C2 levels.

Number of participants increased by 90 percent

While 400 candidates took the TPT applied in January last year, the number of participants increased by more than 90 percent this year and rose to 765. There was intense interest towards the test from all around the world. Held simultaneously in 29 countries, the highest number of applications came from Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan was followed by countries such as Turkey, Kazakhstan, Germany, Japan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Iran.

Turkish Proficiency Certificate provides great advantage

Those who hold Turkish Proficiency Certificate are exempted from Turkish Preparatory Course when they are qualified to receive education at any Turkish university. Turkish Proficiency Certificate provides the candidates with great advantage also in job applications.

Held three times a year, other application dates for Turkish Proficiency Test in 2017 are May 13th and August 12th. Students who learn Turkish as a foreign language, students who need to certify their knowledge of Turkish for application and admission to universities in Turkey, prospective teachers who want to teach Turkish at various institutions abroad, interpreters who want to certify their knowledge of Turkish, in short anyone who wish to test their Turkish language skills may take TPT.
