Turkey and Kazakhstan ink deal on cultural centers

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who was on official visit to Turkey, and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a joint press conference after meeting tête-à-tête and attending the third meeting of the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council, chaired by President Erdoğan.

At the press conference jointly held by President Erdoğan and President of Kazakhstan Nazarbayev, President Erdoğan said: “We will intensify our efforts to attain perfect relations between Turkey and Kazakhstan in every area in coming months. In addition to our bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan, we have reaffirmed our consensus for contributing to the activities by the Turkic Council."

Kazakh President Nazarbayev indicated that Turkey is one of the closest and most reliable strategic partners of Kazakhstan. He pointed out that their ongoing cooperation is based on the common history and spiritual wealth and that the agreements undersigned today are clear signs of the cooperation between the two countries, adding that Kazakhstan and Turkey have all the potential to improve cooperation in every area.

Five agreements were signed between Turkey and Kazakhstan

Ahead of the press conference held at the Presidential Complex, a ceremony was held for the signing of the five agreements between the two countries with the attendance of Erdoğan and Nazarbayev.

In addition to the agreements for military, economic and agricultural agreements, an agreement on the establishment of cultural centers and their activities, which will make significant contributions to friendship and cooperation between the two countries, was also inked. Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Kazakh Culture and Sports Minister Arystanbek Mukmahemidiuly set their signatures beneath the agreement in question.
