Çanakkale Victory Concert in Bosnia and Herzegovina

A concert event was held at the Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the occasion of 18 MarchMartyrs' Memorial Day and the 109th anniversary of the Çanakkale Naval Victory.

At the concert held at the YEI building in the capital, soloist Mehmed Kukurozovic sang martyrdom folk songs with the performance of Melih Berse on the flute, Mirza Redzepagic on the oud and Muzaffer Özdemir on the baglama.

Those who attended the concert accompanied the works such as "They shot me in Çanakkale" ("Çanakkale içinde vurdular beni), "Hey On Beşli On Beşli”, "Pleven March" (Plevne Marşı) , as well as the Bosnian "Sehidski Rastanak (Farewell of the Martyr)".

Yaman, etkinlik kapsamında, Milli Savunma Üniversitesi Rektörü Prof. Dr. Erhan Afyoncu'yu ağırladıklarını ve Çanakkale'de yaşananları dinlediklerini ifade etti.

Yaman stated that, within the scope of the event, they hosted Rector of National Defense University Professor Erhan Afyoncu and listened to the events in Çanakkale.

Mehmed Kukurozovic stated that March 18 has an important place in Turkish history, and that Muslims from many regions of the Ottoman Empire took part in this war, and that they chose works that tell the stories of the martyred soldiers.
