The Exhibition Featuring the Works of 4 Turkish Women Painters Opens in Paris

An exhibition featuring the works of 4 Turkish female painters was opened within the scope of 8 March World Women's Day in Paris, the capital of France.

The exhibition, hosted by Paris Yunus Emre Institute (YEI), opened within the scope of 8 March World Women's Day, included the works of Turkish painters Melek Art, Suzan Ay, Zeliha Bozoğlu and Figen Beğen.

The works exhibited in two different rooms at the institute were appreciated by Turkish and French art lovers.

4 Turkish female painters who attended the opening of the exhibition had the opportunity to introduce their works and sources of inspiration to visitors.

From “Yörük Girl” to “Birds in Love”

Painter Bozoğlu, who uses handmade lace and cross-stitch of Anatolian women in his portrait works with the theme "From Future to Future", was also exhibited in his work titled "Yörük Girl", which depicts a little girl in local clothes.

The vibrant colors, flower motifs and beads used by painter Art, who has been presenting his works to art lovers in different exhibitions for approximately 36 years, attracted the attention of visitors.

The exhibition also included paintings of birds in love by the artist Beğen, whose paintings were inspired by Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, and the 3D works of the painter Ay.

At the opening night, where Paris Yunus Emre Institute Director Celine Aydın also attended, visitors had the opportunity to see the photography exhibition titled "In the Light of Women" (Kadınların Işığında.

The photography exhibition, curated by Mehmet Aslan, also includes the works of Turkish women photographers, including AA photojournalists.
