"Love of Sounds" in London and Dublin

Tambur virtuoso Özer Özel and bağlama virtuoso Coşkun Karademir have brought the ancient musical heritage of Anatolia to the art lovers in London and Dublin with a concert entitled "Seslerin Cemi" (Love of Sounds).

The musicians took the stage at St. Cyprain's, Clarence Gate on November 16, 2019 and, following a reception attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Dublin Levent Murat Burhan, at St Mary's Church on Monday, November 18, showcasing the perfect harmony of tambur and bağlama.

The musicians' repertoire included such songs as "Elif Dedim Be Dedim," "Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım," "Bir Fırtına Tuttu Bizi," "Yârim İstanbul’u Mesken Mi Tuttun" and "Yazımı Kışa Çevirdin" and they played a selection of vocal and instrumental works of classical Turkish music.

The concert, organized by Yunus Emre Institute's London Branch in two cities with support from the Turkish Airlines (THY) and Turkish embassy in Dublin, was attended by numerous foreign music lovers and audience from business, art, bureaucracy and diplomacy.
