"Man's Search for Peace" Conference Held in Vienna

Professor Kemal Sayar, at the conference titled "Man's Search for Peace" organized by Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) in Vienna, the capital of Austria, said that the way to get rid of negative thoughts is through inner peace and tranquility.

Türkiye's Ambassador in Vienna Ozan Ceyhun, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Vienna Cafer Mert Özmert, as well as many guests attended the program at the conference hall of the Turkish Islamic Culture and Social Assistance Union (ATIB) in Vienna.

In his speech at the conference, stating that peace is one of the things the world needs most, Professor Kemal Sayar expressed that the voices of the oppressed from all over the world are rising, and a feeling of defeat arises in people who cannot afford them and feel helpless, and therefore the idea that the world has become meaningless has emerged.

Noting that the way to get rid of these negative thoughts is through inner peace and tranquility, Sayar underlined that reactions to events and approaches play a certain role in defining positive and negative.

Pointing to the revitalizing spirit of the spring season, Sayar drew attention to the importance of seeing positive events such as the revival of the universe with spring, the smile on children's faces, a hand extended to a person in need, in finding inner peace.

“If you are looking for beauty, you must be beautiful first”

"We need to play with the settings of our hearts in a way that allows us to perceive beauty, goodness and goodness." Sayar said. "The spiritual perspective is based on a person's ability to see beauty. If you are looking for beauty, you must first be beautiful. If you are beautiful, you will be able to better see the beauties hidden in life." he said.

"We cannot change the troubles that happen to us. But we can change our reaction to the troubles that happen to us." Sayar said.

Explaining that effort and effort are also important in achieving peace and well-being, used the following expression, “A person is as much as his effort.”

Emphasizing that being diligent is one of the most important things that bring peace and beauty, regardless of the conditions, Sayar shared his following opinion: "No beauty is offered to us free of charge. One of the most important things for a person is not to give up effort until his last breath." shared his opinion.

After the speech, the Yeden Ensemble music group performed works from Sufi music. At the end of the program, the guests broke their fast with offerings from Vienna YEI.
