The Movie “Ayla” Screened in South Africa

The movie "Ayla" was screened in Pretoria, the executive capital of the Republic of South Africa, as part of the 100th anniversary events of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.

Many people, including ambassadors, diplomats, academics and South African officials, attended the event held at the Korean Cultural Center in Pretoria, in cooperation with the Pretoria Embassies of Türkiye and South Korea and Johannesburg Yunus Emre Institute.

The audience experienced emotional moments while watching the movie "Ayla", which is based on a true story that happened during the Korean War.

After the movie screening, the participants were served delicacies from Turkish and South African cuisines.

An exhibition of Turkish handicrafts and paintings was also held within the scope of the event.

South African artist Alex Maswangany’s work depicting Foreign Minister of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan and South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin was appreciated.
