“Photo Exhibition on the 65th  Anniversary of Turkey-South Korea Diplomatic Relations” Opens in Seoul

On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkey and South Korea, “Photo Exhibition on the 65th  Anniversary of Turkey-South Korea Diplomatic Relations’’ opened its doors to visitors in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.

The exhibition organized in cooperation with Seoul Yunus Emre Institute and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, with the support of the Turkish Embassy in Seoul, Turkish Airlines Seoul Office, and Anadolu Agency (AA), aims to bring the ties between the two countries, starting from the 1950 Korean War and extending to the Çanakkale Bridge, which was officially opened on March 18, 2022, to the visitors chronologically.

Turkey’s Ambassador to Seoul, Ersin Erçin, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Dean of Foreign Affairs Tae-yup Jang, as well as many academics, diplomats, and students, attended the opening ceremony held at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Smart Library.

TURKEY-SOUTH KOREA BROTHERHOOD IS TRANSFERRED TO FUTURE GENERATIONS

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Erçin emphasized that the relations between the two countries have a history of hundreds of years and said, “Turkey and South Korea are among the rare countries that have crossed paths throughout history but have never negatively come face-to-face. It is our duty and responsibility to successfully transfer this precious brotherhood to future generations. In this respect, we believe that the activities of Yunus Emre Institute are of great value.’’

The exhibition, which includes 50 photographs from the AA archive, reflecting the relations between Turkey and South Korea, will remain open until June 3.
