Seb-i Arus Event Held in Tehran
A music recital was organized by Tehran Yunus Emre Institute on the occasion of the 749th anniversary of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi.
The band Gönül Aynası, consisting of Iranian musicians playing the lute, santoor, tambourine, bendir and reed, gave the audience a musical banquet with the compositions of Mevlana's work Mesnevi and the arrangements they made inspired by him.
Turkish and Iranian music lovers showed great interest in the program where couplets of Mevlana were recited.
Tehran Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator İbrahim Furkan Özdemir stated that they organize a program every year on the occasion of Seb-i Arus and added that they hosted the band Gönül Aynası in this year's program.
Coordinator Özdemir expressed their pleasure to commemorate Mevlana in Tehran and pointed out that one of the most important elements between the two countries and two cultures is Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi himself.
