Sinan Ayyıldız and Tolgahan Çoğulu Duo Concert in Madrid

Baglama and guitar, which are the main instruments of Turkish folk music and Spanish music, met in Spain. Organized by Madrid Yunus Emre Institute and in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Madrid, Casa Mediterráneo (Mediterranean House) and the Municipality of Madrid, two unforgettable concerts were held by Dr. Sinan Ayyıldız from Ankara Music and Fine Arts University,  and  Assoc. Professor Tolgahan Çokulu from ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory in Alicante and Madrid, Spain, on February, 19-20 2024.

In the concerts, which attracted great interest from music lovers, Turkish folk music works from different regions and periods such as "Kara Toprak", "Haydar Haydar", "Tekeler Köyü Zeybeği", as well as the artists' own compositions and arrangements, and works by musicians from Azerbaijan, Iran and England were also performed. The rich repertoire it included offered the audience a musical feast.
