Test Your Turkish Skills

Applications for the Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS), held by Yunus Emre Institute three times every year to certify the Turkish language proficiency, will end on Friday, August 23 for 2019.

The TYS has been developed by the Institute to test and certify the four basic language skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking) of individuals who have learned Turkish as a foreign or second language in compliance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and it is possible to apply for it at many locations around the world.

The exam has been held three a times a year simultaneously in Turkey and in all countries where Yunus Emre Institute's agencies are located since 2013, and anyone who seeks to certify his/her proficiency in the Turkish language or pursue an academic career in Turkey or be exempt from Turkish preparatory training at Turkish universities can take the test.

The successful applicants in the TYS, administered in three sessions, are given Turkish Proficiency Certificates at B2, C1 and C2 levels.
