Turkey’s Cultural Doors Continue to Open to the World

Yunus Emre Institute has left behind 2022 by carrying out large-scale projects introducing Turkish language and culture to millions of people in many regions from Asia to Europe, from Africa to America for 13 years, since 2009, on the path Yunus Emre set out with the motto "Let's get acquainted".

The Institute carries out its activities through its over 80 foreign representative offices across over 60 countries, with of its vision to increase the number of people who have ties with and are friendly to Turkey.

YUNUS EMRE INSTITUTE IS EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD

In 2022, the Institute expanded its network of international activities through the many foreign representative offices it opened in different parts of the world, especially in Uganda, Indonesia and Cambodia, and carried Yunus' language of love and peace, Turkish, and the rich cultural elements of Turkish culture to various regions.

100 FOREIGN REPRESENTATIVE OFFICES ON THE 100th ANNIVERSARY

Aiming to reach 100 foreign representative offices by the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, the Institute serves to create a positive image of Turkey abroad by increasing Turkey's international recognition, credibility and reputation.

MILLIONS OF PEOPLE LEARN TURKISH

The Institute has introduced 15 million people from 196 countries to Turkish language and culture through face-to-face and online Turkish courses, the My Choice Is Turkish Project, Turkish Language Teaching Portal, and teaching Turkish through videos.

WE TEACH TURKISH TO THE WORLD

In order to meet the increasing interest in Turkey, Turkish language and culture around the world, the Institute reached nearly 250 thousand people in 2022 through face-to-face and online Turkish courses, the My Choice Is Turkish Project, and the Turkish Language Teaching Portal.

TURKISH CULTURE IS PROMOTED THROUGH HUNDREDS OF ACTIVITIES EVERY YEAR

Hundreds of activities in different fields such as language, literature, history, cinema, theater, music and handicrafts are carried out every year in the Institute's foreign representative offices around the world in order to develop Turkey's friendship with other countries and increase cultural exchange.

In 2022, over a thousand culture and arts activities were organized by the Institute to promote Turkey's cultural richness in different parts of the world.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES, NEW HORIZONS

The Institute closely follows the ever-changing and developing world of technology and science and pushes its activities beyond the usual patterns of activity by keeping up with current developments. It carries out digital breakthroughs such as Metaverse studies, the Digital Culture Center Project and the Tanışkan Project, which is organized for using artificial intelligence and NFT technologies in the fields of Turkish language teaching and cultural interaction.
