An education fair was organized in Casablanca, Morocco's northern city, to promote some foundation and state universities in Turkey.

Turkey's Casablanca Commercial Counselor Mehmet Elbir, Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) Rabat Turkish Cultural Center Manager Ensar Fırat, and representatives from some Turkish foundation universities attended the fair, which was organized by the Kurtuba (Cordoba) Abroad Education Center and ran through March 2, 2022.

IT HAS BEEN ORGANIZED SINCE 2015

The Yunus Emre Institute offered students with information on education and scholarships at Turkish public universities at the fair. Moroccan students who intended to pursue their study in Turkey attended the fair in large numbers.

According to Fırat, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute Rabat Turkish Cultural Center, by participating in the fair since 2015, they have highlighted the activities they have carried out in Morocco and described the scholarships and university chances in Turkey.

Fırat also emphasized that they are attempting to enhance scientific collaboration between the two countries, saying, "We think that excellent ties between the brotherly Moroccan people and Turkey will develop further with such research."

Cordoba Education Center Director Musab al-Hamdavi, on the other hand, stated that the fair was planned to inform Moroccan students about Turkish universities and to encourage them to study abroad.

Noting that the presence of Turkish universities as fair participants was owing to the high quality of education in Turkey enticing Moroccan students, Hamdavi stated that this fair is a continuation of the fairs in which Turkish institutions have been launched in Morocco since 2015.

Hamdavi further said that they want to reach the majority of students who wish to study abroad with the fair, which will continue in Rabat and Tangier following Casablanca. According to reports, about 2,000 Moroccan students are educated in various fields of expertise at universities in Turkey.
