Yunus Emre Institute continues its psychosocial support activities in the earthquake region during Ramadan in order to ease the immense pain carried by the little hearts that witnessed the biggest disaster of the century and to ensure that the children of the disaster victims can smile again.

Under the auspices of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Yunus Emre Institute organized the "Candy Child Ramadan Days" event for disaster-stricken children.

CHILDREN FROM KAHRAMANMARAŞ COME TOGETHER AT THE "CANDY CHILD RAMADAN DAYS" EVENT

The first stop of the event to be organized by the Institute in different cities of the earthquake region was Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University. Disaster-stricken children from Kahramanmaraş came together with the "Candy Child Ramadan Days" event and spent time with their peers again as they did before the earthquake.

Children who participated in face painting activities at the "Candy Child Ramadan Days" event, which started on March 25, 2023 with a series of activities, had a lot of fun in the specially prepared playground.

In addition to the puppet show and theater performances, traditional "maidan theater "and Karagöz shadow play, which are irreplaceable during Ramadan, were among the activities that children enjoyed the most.

"CANDY CHILD RAMADAN DAYS" EVENT WILL CONTINUE FOR 20 DAYS IN THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE

Following Kahramanmaraş, Candy Child Ramadan Days will bring together children from Hatay, Adıyaman and Malatya and continue with activities organized in the earthquake zone for 20 days.

THE ACTIVITIES OF THE "MY MIND IS IN THE GAME" CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL WILL MOVE TO GAZIANTEP AND HATAY

Yunus Emre Institute will carry the activities of the festival "My Mind is in the Game", which it has organized for children in different parts of the world in the past, to Gaziantep and Hatay during Ramadan.

Disaster-stricken children from Gaziantep and Hatay who will participate in the "My Mind is in the Game" event will have the opportunity to participate in many activities and games, from spoon doll making to linden printing, from cube puzzle activity with reliefs on Göbeklitepe columns to spinning tops, windmill making to drama workshops.
