President Erdoğan received Minister of National Education İsmet Yılmaz, Head of Maarif Foundation Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün and the accompanying delegation.

Erdoğan wished success to Maarif Foundation in the meeting and gave three instructions. Reminding that Maarif is a foundation of Turkish Republic and nation, continued as follows: “If they say they are active in 170 countries, become active in all 193 UN member countries. Do not forget that the primary elements of the struggle are well-raised individuals, dynamism, unity, solidarity and fraternity.”

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, TİKA, YTB and Religious Affairs to Support

President Erdoğan requested full support for Maarif Foundation from all international organisations. All international organisations including Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, TİKA, Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities and Directorate of Religious Affairs, will provide support for Maarif Foundation's expansion overseas under Ministry of National Education. In addition, Maarif Foundation will carry out intense efforts to receive support from the civil society in countries in question. President Erdoğan requested the Foundation to prioritise the countries where FETÖ is efficient and popular among operations abroad. Marking that medium and long-term service planning should be made, Erdoğan pointed out the importance of giving precedence to the Balkans, Middle East and Turkic countries.
