Yunus Emre through Miniatures Exhibition in Tbilisi

"The Yunus Emre through Miniatures Exhibition", which is created through the collaboration of Tbilisi Yunus Emre Institute and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, was opened at the Tbilisi Museum of History under the Georgian National Museum. At the exhibition that was held on the occasion of 2021, which was declared by the Republic of Turkey's Presidency as the "Year of Yunus Emre and Turkish Language", being was listed in the List of Commemorations and Anniversaries by UNESCO as this year was the 700th death anniversary of Yunus Emre, 25 miniatures, inspired by the poems of Yunus Emre, were exhibited.

The Republic of Turkey's Ambassador in Tbilisi Fatma Ceren Yazgan, the Brazil's Ambassador in Tblisi Oswaldo Biato Junior, Germany's Ambassador in Tbilisi Hubert Knirsh, Second Secretary of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Tbilisi Yerlan Bergenev, TIKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency) Program Coordinator in Tbilisi Tuba Özütok, Georgian National Museum General Director Davit Lortkipanidze, representatives of Turkish institutions in Georgia, Turcologists, translators and Turkish and Georgian art lovers participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

"THE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES WILL BE REINFORCED"

During her speech at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the Republic of Turkey's Ambassador in Tbilisi Fatma Ceren Yazgan mentioned the role and importance of Yunus Emre in Turkish literature.

Ambassador Yazgan mentioned that the exhibition will reinforce the cultural relations between the two countries and she took great pleasure in participating in the event. 

Davit Lortkpanidze mentioned that the cooperation and relations between Turkey and Georgia would be strengthened thanks to similar cultural activities.

The exhibition remained open until December 10, 2021.
