Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TAI) Board Member Prof. Dr. İbrahim Uslan and General Manager Advisor Dr. Halil Tokel met with trainees learning Turkish at Cairo Yunus Emre Institute (YEE).

At the meeting held under the name of "Career Language: Turkish" talks, Professor Uslan who came to Cairo to attend the International Defense Industry Fair (EDEX 2023) held in Egypt between 4-7 December 2023 stated that Egyptian translators' command of Turkish at the EDEX 2023 fair was gained through the Turkish teaching activities carried out by Yunus Emre Institute, and thanked the Institute for its devoted work.

Noting that Turkey has an important position in the fields of education, science and technology, Prof. Dr. Uslan stated that TAI offers scholarship programs in specialized fields such as engineering and pointed out that young people in Egypt and other countries can benefit from these programs. Uslan also gave information about TAI's "Anka-3" and "Kaan" projects.

Touching on the process of cooperation with Egypt in the field of technology, TAI General Manager Advisor Dr. Halil Tokel used the following statements:

“The initial step was taken with the D-8 countries. We proposed 52 projects. One of these was the production project of a passenger aircraft. By coordinating and gathering our valuable engineers working in different countries, we can design and produce the most valuable technological products of civilization for the world. If we combine the potential and brainpower that exists in our heartland, we can achieve the impossible. In this context, we signed the protocol today. Within the framework of this protocol, Egypt's aircraft factory will meet with its counterpart institution in Turkey and joint studies will be carried out among themselves."

Cairo Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Emin Boyraz, in his speech, said that relations between Egypt and Türkiye have developed in every field, and that more than 50 thousand trainees who have learned Turkish at Cairo YEI since the establishment of the Institute in Egypt have begun to play more roles in many fields from culture to art, from economy to education.

The talk, which continued with a question-answer session, ended with the presentation of plaques to TAI officials.
