Turkish Workshop in Skopje

Skopje Yunus Emre Institue carries out Turkish language teaching activities through the language education protocols executed with the most important governmental organizations of Northern Macedonia and organized education seminars for the Turkish teachers with the Turkish language workshops in the Northern Macedonian cities of Skopje, Struga and Strumica on August 16-18, 2021. The program was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkeyin Skopje and was realized through the collaboration of Skopje YEI and Northern Macedonia Ministry of Education.

 

DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF TURKISH LANGUAGE EDUCATION WERE DISCUSSED

Northern Macedonia Deputy Minister of Education and Science Arafat Şabani, Yunus Emre Institute Director of Turkish Teaching and Turcology Prof. Yavuz Kartallıoğlu, Institute representatives, academicians working in the Turkish departments of universities, and Turkish teachers participated in the closing ceremony of the program in Skopje.

In his speech, Northern Macedonia Deputy Minister of Education and Science Arafat Şabani stated that the educational, managerial, economic, social and cultural dimensions of Turkish language teaching were discussed in the workshop organized to provide a scientific perspective for the issues of Turkish language education.

Deputy Minister Şabani mentioned that the workshop was aimed at discussing the medium and long-term issues faced in Turkish language teaching at 65 primary schools and 13 high schools in Northern Macedonia, and the solution propositions that can be developed against such issues.

In his speech, Kartallıoğlu stated that some 100 instructors participated in the seminars and said:

"Since Monday, we have been delivering various lectures with five Turkish experts from Turkey for the purposes of increasing the professional development of and attaining the highest level of professional competence for the Turkish teachers who are teaching our language all around Northern Macedonia."

 

 

 

TURKISH LANGUAGE EDUCATION FOR 5,000 STUDENTS IN 11 YEARS IN NORTHERN MACEDONIA

Skopje Yunus Emre Institute Director Serhat Kula stated that they taught Turkish to 5,000 students in their 11 years of operation in Northern Macedonia as the Institute.

Kula added that they continued their trainings for the teachers in Northern Macedonia and said "Within the scope of this workshop, we observed the needs of Turkish language in the region, or in other words, we x-rayed it. Through an evaluation meeting today in Skopje, we are planning to finalize the topics we discussed in the regions via this camp."

The program ended after Certificates of Participation were presented to the participants.
