In the exhibition titled "Peace and Cultural Diversity" organized at Vienna Yunus Emre Institute (YEI), the mixed works of 38 artists from 20 countries around the world met with art lovers.

Art lovers showed great interest in the event organized by the International Cultural Diversity Organization (ICDO) as part of the Intercultural Long Night program organized for a week.

The event was attended by Ozan Ceyhun, Ambassador of Turkey to Vienna, Ghada Fathi Waly, Head of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), as well as many diplomats and guests on September 14th, 2022.

In her speech here, Vienna Yunus Emre Institute Director Ayşe Yorulmaz expressed her pleasure in hosting the exhibition held within the scope of the Intercultural Long Night program organized by ICDO for the 5th time.

"SUPPORTS ARTISTS ALL OVER THE WORLD"

Yorulmaz reminded that the exhibitions within the scope of the program were always held at the Yunus Emre Institute, except for the pandemic period, and said, "I would like to remind you that as Yunus Emre Institute, the official cultural institute of Turkey, we support art and artists all over the world."

Noting that Yunus Emre Institute aims to promote Turkish culture as well as to fuse with different cultures, Yorulmaz said, "Today, I am sure that many artists will meet each other and art enthusiasts through this beautiful exhibition, conversations will take place on art, and they will exchange ideas about future projects."

TURKEY'S PEACE EFFORTS

Ambassador Ceyhun also stated that it is more important than ever to organize an exhibition that emphasizes peace and cultural diversity in a period of various tensions and conflicts in the international arena.

Ceyhun, referring to the title of the exhibition, mentioned Turkey's peace efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, as well as Turkey's efforts to overcome adversities around the world, such as the flood disaster in Pakistan.

The exhibition featured the mixed works of 38 artists from 20 countries around the world.
