In Cairo the Students Learning Turkish through Online Platform Gather for the First Time

As part of the event, dozens of students studying online at the Cairo Yunus Emre Institute (YEE), which continues its activities in Cairo, Egypt's capital, gathered.

Cairo Yunus Emre Institute Director Emin Boyraz stated during the meeting, "Learning Turkish by tens of thousands of our Egyptian brothers is a significant achievement for both Turkey and Egypt."

Boyraz expressed his belief that trainees studying Turkish will play key roles in fields such as education, culture, and the economy, saying:

"By studying Turkish, you strengthen ties between Turkey and Egypt.  We think that through learning Turkish, you will be able to play an essential role in fields such as education, culture, and the economy."

 

THE INSTITUTE'S MISSION IS WELCOME TO THE PEOPLE OF EGYPT

Merve Muhammed (21) remarked while studying Turkish at the Yunus Emre Institute, "The mission of the Yunus Emre Institute is well-received by the Egyptian people. Turkish culture holds a special place in our hearts."

Muhammed stated that he studied at the university's Faculty of Turcology and rose to the top of his class as a result of his study at the Cairo Yunus Emre Institute "My ambition is to teach at the university level and to take over the work of the Yunus Emre Institute. Teaching Turkish and promoting Turkish culture."

"I LEFT MY HOME FOR TURKEY AND I AM NOW IN CAIRO"

Another trainee, Mahmud Abdulmunim (25), who studied Turkish at the Cairo Yunus Emre Institute, stated that he began studying Turkish years ago through Turkish TV series.

Abdulmunim stated that the online trainings he got at the Cairo Yunus Emre Institute helped him enhance his language abilities.

"I'm originally from Dimyat. Dimyat is around 3-5 hours from Cairo. I took Turkish classes at the Cairo Yunus Emre Institute to enhance my Turkish. I moved to Cairo from my birthplace to study Turkish."

The presentation, which included advertising movies for the institution and photos of Turkey, concluded with a Turkish music concert performed by Cairo Yunus Emre Institute students.

APPROXIMATELY SIX THOUSAND PEOPLE LEARNED TURKISH

Cairo Yunus Emre Institute is one of the world's most important institutions for learning Turkish. Following the pandemic, Turkish classes were offered to roughly six thousand individuals at the Cairo Yunus Emre Institute, where Turkish education is provided to approximately 700 students each term, as well as online courses.

According to statistics collected from the Cairo Yunus Emre Institute, about 7,000 students applied to courses opening in the spring term of 2022, with record participation.

In addition to teaching Turkish, the Yunus Emre Institute, which began operations in Egypt in 2010, continues to promote links between the two nations via cultural and artistic events.
